Single sided ribbons are cheaper and have the same colouring but one side has a slightly lower sheen. Whereas, double sided satin ribbons have the same colour and sheen on both sides, which provides for a nicer finish if tying bows or for any other application where both sides of the ribbon will be seen. Additionally, the premium ribbons are slightly thicker and have a tighter weave, meaning less fraying when cut and a more luxurious feel compared to a single sided satin ribbon.
